I just had an idea for showing statuses on the forums (Scratch Team, Moderator…). What if we had little Scratch blocks with our status names under our icon in the forums?

It's fun and it'd be really cool to incorporate Scratch blocks, which everybody knows about here, into the website.

Yeah, I agree, just didn't want to spend time changing the colors individually. I'm actually taking a human-computer interaction class taught by a Stanford professor, and they talk a ton about making things different colors so there isn't a need to read things after a while, just quickly glance at the color.

Why stop there? Make the whole user info Scratch block style! We could use a modded ScratchBlocks plugin.

So long as it's subtle, I agree. But do not, I repeat, do not let people choose the colors of their blocks.

I don't think that would go too well with the current design, unless we use only light-blue (sensing?) blocks. Too many colors will be a bit jarring, and to be honest I love the current aesthetic feel just as it is.

I think it'd make things more fun and wouldn't take away from the new design.

That looks great! I love the ultra rounded corners and puzzle piece, it's really in line with the rest of the forum!

I think the block would fit better, blocks are more symbolic to Scratch.

Yeah. Thinking the variable would fit for the forums a bit better, but the block is better.

I don't support. It just seems a bit out of place. It's as if we were to turn our usernames and posts into blocks, too. Just seems unnecessary, and not too good-looking, in my opinion.
