Nope, not what happened. Young Justice and TTG aren't related at all. Young Justice was funded by toy sales. Eventually, all the fans of the shows have bought all the toys they wanted so there's no toy sales. And then there's no funding.

I, myself, enjoyed the first season but not the second. It's supposed to be Young Justice, not Young Adult Justice, gosh darn it! I liked watching KIDS kick butt, not adults. Still though, I understand why they had to push forward Robin and Kid Flash and introduce the new characters (new toys means more funding means more show). I never finished the second season because I just wasn't as interested.

I agree i like the 1st season much better. For one Kid Flash was alive. And two the act more mature in season 2. By the way I just looked it up and the internet says they canceled it because they didn't want girls watching the show.

Absolutely not true. Their demographic was not why it was canceled. Greg Weisman, one of the creators of Young Justice, has denied any rumors that it was canceled because girls were watching the show.

In January 2016, Weisman finally revealed the reason for the show's cancellation on the podcast “The Hip-Hop Nerd.” The show's funding was based on a toy deal with Mattel. The toys were not selling enough so Mattel cancelled the toy line, pulling the funding for the show. With no sources of income large enough to replace the money from Mattel, the show was not picked up for a third season.

Well, either way it was canceled. I really liked that show along with Teen Titans.
