I believe (once again) that NoMod has a name.

I also don't think you can predict what NoMod will reply. If you don't have a definite answer, please don't post what is essentially “I don't know”
Additionally, you (-Radical-) aren't NoMod's ears. He can see the thread himself.
What you're doing is acting as if you are the spokesperson for Whiskers. You aren't, unless NoMod has actually said you are (which I highly doubt).
NoMod is back!

No, I haven't said that he's the spokesperson for Whiskers. @-Radical-, can you please leave the commenting to me?

@cs293450 and @-Radical-:I'm honestly not sure that I can get a wiki set up sometime soon, as I'm a bit busy working on the newest NuWhiskers release.
But… Im NoMod…

I never said I was the spokesperson, infact, saying “I'll ask the main dev” is kinda implying that I am NOT.

But I could see how you could think that.

Sincerely, probably me. Maybe myself. Or sometimes I.

See, @-Radical-, by saying that you'll ask the main dev, it makes it seem like you are someone who is sitting with me on a computer system programming, which you are not. I am glad that you enjoy helping with the Whiskers projects, but please allow me to answer questions relating to feature requests/ bug reports.

Does it really seem that way? It doesn't to me. Well, next time I'll just not reply & wait for you. Sound good?

Sincerely, probably me. Maybe myself. Or sometimes I.

Is there any chance we'll ever get a functional “Download to .sb2” button?

I thought it already saved as .sb2s?

I could be wrong though, I haven't tested this in ages

I thought when you were to save a file, it would bring up an error screen.

Hmm… I'm not getting this error. Do you mean opening .sb2s?

Idk. It was a while ago, but on the last version that I used, it game me a Squeak error.

Whiskers: Scratch 2.0 for Incompatible Devices

Sorry for making your guys wait so long for the next update, but I am making some changes to whiskers that make it run many times faster, and make it much closer to scratch 2.0's code. I've also been getting used to the scratch 2.0 code by helping out with @GRA0007's mod Blue, and found out that whiskers needs a lot of optimizations.
Also: This is a check that I'm still alive; I am

I think the name for this project will be SCARTCH. If someone can give me a better name, please do so. You can see the logo in the youtube video in the OP.
Try Flashy Pie. “Flashy” is a bit ironic, since this is all about moving away from Flash, while “Pie” is a little whimsical, since this is (i assume) going to be optimized for Raspberry Pi.

The title says “Whiskers” though? Maybe you just quoted an old post from the first page?

He can't. It's not a SWF file, it uses the old engine Scratch 1.4 used.

Yup. If you're looking for an online version, though, there is one here: online.whiskers.gwiddle.co.uk

Sorry for the late reply, but I'm almost ready to roll out a new update, but I need to compile a dynamic library for mac, windows, and linux. Then I need to build an installer, but one that does not require admin/root permissions (so it will install to appdata on windows, the user applications folder on mac, and maybe to a subfolder on /usr/share on linux?). Once that is done I can put out a new version, but I am having trouble compiling a dynamic library even with the TestPlugin class in squeak. Can someone help me out with this?

Alright, I'm getting the dll to compile now, so it should only take about a month for me to finish this release! I know a month sounds like a long time, but it will all be worth it. To tell you what this next version will include (yes, I'm compiling a dynamic library for mac, linux, squeakJS, and windows, and nothing else), see this screenshot:

If you can't see the screenshot, or just want to read about it, I'm including svg reading in the next release of Whiskers (provided you have the dynamic library for your OS). I'm also including proper wav file reading that uses a primitive (and the default squeak one as a fallback), and lots of speed, which will make all versions much faster. I'm also seeing if I can make the interpreter (the whiskers one not the squeak one) run on primitives, but I might not because that would make it hard to make modifications of whiskers. I'll have to see what is possible. Lastly, I'm going to be adding some miscellaneous primitives to the dll that will add major speedups. These include quicker pen drawing (by drawing to the pen buffer using c), the possible addition of a bevel function and a blur function written in c to draw blocks correctly, and the possible addition of a balloon drawing library (from squeak before it was removed by MIT) for antialiased drawing (which, if implemented, will be used to display an imported svg (which, due to the lack of an svg editor, will just be a bitmap scaled up 2x for quality).

Any other suggestions to add to the primitives?

Awesome! Will you be distributing the binaries with Whiskers? And that seems like a lot to implement. Wouldn't it make sense to work on one or two changes, then release and have people test those? Then bugs are discovered earlier.

EDIT : Over 500 posts
