Dodge! A game where you...dodge...and shoot things!
It is as complete as I'll ever admit it to be. I present to you, Dodge!
The link.
How to play:
+ Arrow keys/WASD to move.
+ Z/X/SPACEBAR to shoot.
+ Press Q to toggle background transitions, in case it lags you too much.
Instructions:
———————————
Firstly, look at my funny excuse plot intro. Amusing, no?
…*cough*…
Dodge the circles coming at you from the horizon. They are circles, you are a triangle, it could never have worked out.
Shoot enemies if you need a few extra seconds on the timer (which is invisible until death), or if you can't slip by. Each enemy takes 3 hits to destroy, and destroying one will net you an extra bonus second.
As the game progresses, the speed of the circles will go up, and the amount will also increase. This is where it starts to get painful. I forgive you if you can't get to one minute.
Plot:
———————————-
Before everything, there was nothing. But then, the game developer said “Bollocks to that, I'm having me a plot!” And there was a plot. And it was okay, I guess. But along with the light of creation, there came a deep cost…evil, circular aliens were starting to mobilize and invade the Triangle Republic, and so an elite squad of legendary fighter who have excellent character development were called back into action to eliminate the round menace. But they moved to Canada to dodge the draft, so we have you. But you don't want anything to do with this, so here's a game you could play while the enemy charges at you. It's called Dodge, I think. It has circles and guns. Mhm.

A great deal of the music is from the hit NES game Crystalis. And by ‘hit’ I mean I will hit you if you don't play it.
More music is from the hit game by Pixel Studio, Cave Story. And, of course, by ‘hit’ I mean I will hire a hitman if you don't finish it.
Oh, and the death sound is from Mega Man 3. I shortened it a bit.

Loved the game, you must have spent hours on that! Back story was the highlight of the entire project

Thanks! I did spend a decent amount of time making this. Layering sprites is a pain…but not as much as syncing music to slides! There was no way I was going to have a plotline that wasn't ridiculous. Red herrings taste the best, don't you know.
