so..Can I help?
Of course you can! Just contribute any way you can! My source code is here, and NDSDNS's is here (his is better). It would probably be good if you have a Codepen account (like NDSDNS) or a GitHub account (like me). Also, it would be good if you could get onto blockware, because it keeps returning a 404 error for us.

Alrighty. I have a question. Can code pen deliver fully fledged websites? Also, it looks like you have the editor under control, so do you think I should get started on a good looking website. I will do a better job than on my website.
No, it is for experiments. But I shall be able to send you an html document with js and css.
EDIT: Also, only keyboard shortcuts are working. When clicked the buttons unselect the text

Okay, well, to host it online, we can use GitHub pages. It is very simple to use. I can get cracking on it now. I should also probably ask you, do you have a GitHub account?
No, I do not have a GitHub account! Also, considering the code you wrote, you might not be able to fix my problem, I'm searching stackoverflow, as I know a solution to the problem…. But I hate Javascript! Why can you not have a function that returns the numbers of the range like you would use in setSelectionRange?

Check this out on my website! I managed to put your editor in it. There are still some bugs in the search, but it looks best in Firefox, and rubbish in chrome. I am looking for workarounds. The colour scheme is easy enough to change, it is the layout that is more important. The dialogue at the top about the community guidelines is there because, to advertise the website on the scratch community, you have to agree to adhere to the guidelines, and so dose everyone else. It is alright at the moment because it is hosted under my domain, but once it gets its own address (bb-editor.io or whatever) it will have to make the pledge.

OK, first of all, uncenter it and remove the span that says SPAN, that was a test. I am updating it right now. Also, spell guidelines correctly!

A few questions I want to raise:
  • Will we be displaying ads on this website?
  • Once you are ready, do you want to send me the updated source code to ad to the website?
  • How will we be deploying this?
  • What will it's licence be?
  • Can we host on Github (please?)
