scratch: x-box 360 / x-box one edition

No support. Dedicated consoles are dated, and aren't really dev tools anyway. Also, if you want to make controller functions, just ask for certain controller support or, more easily, get a PicoBoard.

HOW DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND! THE CONTROLLER IS NOT THE POINT, THE CONSOLE IS!

Then the ST could just add XBOX controller support, since I believe you can already wire one into a USB port.

I understand. But that's not entirely what I said. You see, these dedicated consoles were made specifically for gaming. And right in the age where multimedia overrides them, they're already losing to PCS and portable computers (smartphones and tablets specifically). Also, Scratch just does not feel like a tool that fits for consoles, anyway. A console port would see quick obsoletion.

Caps lock, by the way.
Yeah, this guy is right (johndeere, I mean)

Xbox 360 and One don't support flash. Also, Scratch is working on an HTML version of Scratch which will run anywhere. Keyword: ANYWHERE So if Xbox One isn't outdated (Like stated above.) and it has an Internet Browser (It should because the PeasantBox Xbox One isn't outdated, again, like you said.) then the HTML version should work. And like you said:

also, I understand this would take a long loong LOOONG time to make but I don't care how long it takes to create it, as long as it is made eventually

No support. How would button A, B etc. work on computers?

If not, this would mean a lot of work for the Scratch Team.

The Scratch Team could spend their energy on something else. No support.
1.4 doesn't need flash.

We're on version 2.0. Why would the ST use an outdated version?

And 1.4 requires either Java (for the online version, which only plays projects) or Adobe Air (offline version, includes the editor). I don't know about Java, but I highly doubt xbox supports Adobe Air.

No support, 1. It would be hard to control Scratch with your controller. 2. Xbox or Playstation does not support Flash Player

No support becasuse X-box doesn't support Flash, and plus I don't like the idea of a console edition of Scratch.

If the ST is going to port Scratch beyond PCs and laptops, then they should probably start with porting Scratch to mobile devices (phones and tablets). I don't think porting Scratch to a gaming console would be worth their time. You could always see if you could find a 3rd party to develop it if you really find it necessary, but I think that a version of Scratch for Xbox would go underappreciated.

You don't need to bump your post when it's still on the front page.
They are working on a h5/c3/js? editor…

Exactly. Someone can make a quick and easy fork and package it without the ST…

There are converters for Flash to HTML5. They can do that and you can do Scratch on any system providing you can do it online.
Uh… No. Those won't work… Those converters are meant for simple things like ads.
Also, I don't support. If you want it, make your own when scratch 3 is released.
