So, what about the kind of RP you didn't mention?
like this. I call it the asterisk method.
Player 1: *walks to the other side of the room* you really think you can defeat me? I'm not so sure. *pulls out a laser gun*
Player 2: *looking nervous* B-but how?
player 1: *pushes the trigger* you will soon find out.
player 2 *passes out*

I`m making rp but no one wants to join?Just keep advertising! Make a thread in this forum for it and have a professional looking backstory, application form and studio.
People are more likely to join if you have correct capitalization and punctuation, as well as grammar and spelling.
So, what about the kind of RP you didn't mention?I suppose that works too, but I hardly ever see it. :-/

lupus in the ancient era the pack was one intel they made something that changed everything the ‘glass’ a object of creation and destruction. With it they shaped the world but then it broke the world was gone not with a bang but with chill. the few that did survive were now split in groups now with powers, but at what cost despair, rage, blurred faces. now 100 years after, a war is brewing, one like no other and now the 4 factions Ender mortis(ender of death in Latin), de mundi comedenti (eater of worlds in Latin), the white knights, the mountain alliance now fight to become the rulers of lupus.

I have something to add to this that I've been seeing quite frequently. It's when a constant, unrealistic stream of bad luck happens to someone elses characters, and your character is forced to fix it. You want everyone to have strengths as well as weaknesses, not just weaknessess

A Beginner's Guide to RP's
Since I've been seeing a lot of character forms like this in the Endless Realities RP(And because I'm bored.), I feel like talking a bit about character details, creation, and purpose. I understand the fact that it's tedious and hard to make a really detailed character, and some times you just want to get it over with, but when your making a character, trust me, it's a lot more worth it to put a lot of detail into them, it makes RPing them a lot more enjoyable. When you make a character, I find a lot of people just slapping down a name, one personality trait (Or two or more that just mean the same thing.), and then if they're good or evil. Normally people will just take a cliche type of person and wont go any deeper then that. The reason why these aren't really good ideas is because your really missing out on a fun and memorable character. This is the reason why RP's always want you to put more detail into a character. The reason why I enjoy RPing so much is because of my love of creating stories, characters, outfits, etc. I've also seen a lot of people doing a pet peeve of mine, creating a character just for the convince of it, yes I have done it many times but it's really about how you create the character, if you just make them there to be there, there to just expand another character, it just makes them dull and annoying when there's actually a lot of potential for them. Like for instance Pain's girlfriend. To be honest I got really annoyed when their RPers just made a character to back up Pain's revenge, she literally has no other purpose and just seems like a ditsy girl that is only their to make her boyfriend a sandwich and create him a (Male obviously) heir. It's not just unappealing in RP's but that character type has been used in TV to really just disrespect women, not something I enjoy seeing cause it just reminds me of the pointless roles women use to have in TV. A lot of old sick com's would have this female stereotype and it just drives me up the wall. (I could literally ramble on about that subject all day but I figure we should get back to the main topic.) Now to talk about the subject of creating strengths to match your characters weaknesses, or vise versa we seem to be struggling with more often. I think most people sort of just see it as have a really lucky person with a few weaknesses or have a very unlucky person with a lot of weaknesses. Characters are not this black and white, just like humans they're very complex, if you understand this you can make a character that may be similar to another but clearly is a different person. I have a lot of sassy characters, but I wouldn't say any of them would respond to something the same way, their completely different people, even though they may have a very similar main trait, because some of my characters are artists, some are humble, some are thief's, and some are hackers, along with many other deeper traits, they all are clearly different people. The reason why weaknesses are good things is because they make the character relatable, why would you want to rout for some body that's always right, is super powerful, and beats everyone, over someone that has been through hard ships but has learned to be strong enough to get pass that, has sometimes made mistakes but has learned from them, and sometimes losses but never gives up? I think I've rambled on long enough, sorry for such a long comment. Hope you enjoyed my monologue, I mostly just wrote this because I was extremely bored, hope you don't mind.
