Mac or PC?
If you wanted to dual boot Mac OS X and Linux just don't use wandoge using Apple hardware?Honestly why would you buy a mac just to run windows or linux on it though?Wrong: there's Bootcamp to run Windows (officially supported by Apple) and it isn't difficult to get Linux running. If I don't like Windows, at least I can flash an OS I like onto the machine.
Unlike Apple which forces OSX upon you
(for the same price you could buy/build something with much better specs)
Personally Mac OS X works great for 95% of the things I want to do and if I want do anything else I have a Debian virtual machine & a PCBSD virtual machine.

You wouldn't. You don't get Bootcamp to switch to Windows, you get Bootcamp to use Windows with OS X.Honestly why would you buy a mac just to run windows or linux on it though?Wrong: there's Bootcamp to run Windows (officially supported by Apple) and it isn't difficult to get Linux running. Your monitor only redraws 30 times a second..? That's kind of terrible.. Two OS X versions in, and it's still running at the same speed:
Isn't it beautiful?
I should probably update Java properly…

Without vsync:

Without vsync, with a decent render distance (16 chunks instead of 8):

That's still much over 60 frames per second, which is definitely good enough for me.

They are expensive but they have (not too much to be honest) lowered the costs of their products and made cheaper alternatives. But you got to be real they are a company and people are still buying their products even at higher costs. If Microsoft, HP, Dell, etc could do that they would trust me.I don't think you understood my question. Microsoft (and its corresponding hardware producers) probably use the latter strategy since most of the business world uses Windows, not OS X.
They're still objectively overpriced for the same hardware.

Xcodeghost was a modified version of Xcode distributed on a Chinese website (third-party, not from Apple) that would insert extra code into compiled applications. Yes, it was nasty (although it didn't appear to do much), but it depended on the user deliberately ignoring the untrusted developer warnings. (and what about things like that nasty Xcode virus?)
That's when I set the resolution to the native resolution of the display itself, which is pretty big. It runs a lot faster when it's set to a more sane resolution. Your monitor only redraws 30 times a second..? That's kind of terrible..Here's mine:

“teribly tech spport”
I still have it, after my warranty is out. They dont care, and they do help.

“limiting”
Not really, IOS is different from OS X.
“more security vulnerabilities”
Nice joke.
ANYWAYS, I think we can all agree that linux is the best
Im stuck using a windows computer, and my favorite game crashes every 5 minutes, the audio doesn't work, the scan app sucks, and control panel/cmd line sucks.

imo mac users are more likely to fall for it though

I agree. I feel like its now personal opinion rather than facts.
BTW I think that linux is the best

Also, older computers are better than newer ones.
And the puzzlephone is cool.
And that its very easy to get off topic.

Yeah, these conversations tend to devolve into ad-hominem attacks. People have really strong personal opinions about this kind of stuff (whether or not they have evidence to back them up) It seems like this discussion has shown people why OSX is the superior operating system.

From what I can tell, there are two criteria people here judge a system (or any program) by: ideals and pragmatism.
Idealistically, most mostly-free systems are fine. There are, of course, exceptions in both directions, but in general, a suitable GNU/Linux system would work. (Non-GNU Linux systems tend to have major idealistic issues, and Hurd systems can't be used for the next 50 years or so
)
Pragmatically, I can't bare to deal with the shenanigans in any of the OSes out there. Blech. Seriously, if there was a decent system out there, free or not, I think I would switch no questions asked. Hint: it doesn't exist yet
The consequence of this is that I use Debian, fwiw.
