Onion Skins and Scratch

My question is simple (so sorry if someone already asked about this). Will Scratch ever add onion skins? If they did, that would be so awesome XD lol…just saying. You should be able to turn it on and off. For those who don't know what an onion skin is, it's the option to show a ghost image of the previous costume on the drawing screen, without it actually being part of that costume. It's very useful for animation. I've tried to use Pencil and import files into Scratch, but it never seems to work, the formatting is weird, etc. I'm not trying to ask too much, but this addition would make a huge difference to me.
Thanks for listening,

~Luki

This might be a bit too advanced for newer users, but I think this would be a cool addition.

Yeah I agree XD It would make it a lot easier for me and my animations though, because most of my online friends are on Scratch, and it would be awesome to do a little animation as a joke or gift to them, for example a scene in an RPG that we were in, without having to go through a huge importing-one-costume-at-a-time or format issue just for a few seconds of footage. xD Sorry, just thought I might explain a bit more.

…Right, because people are invariably incapable of using Google until they've been on Scratch for at least a month, at shortest. Totally.

Really?
I find the idea very simple…

I've been listening to…
Ogre Battle // Queen // Queen II // Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Progressive Metal
Orion // Metallica // Master of Puppets // Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal, Instrumental
Damage Inc. // Metallica// Master of Puppets // Thrash Metal, Heavy Metal
Snow (Hey Oh) // Red Hot Chilli Peppers // Snow (Hey Oh) // Soft Rock, Acoustic
Who Wants To Live Forever // Queen // A Kind of Magic // Power Ballad, Soft Rock
I suggest you listen to…
For a influential playlist: Damage Inc and Orion. Both of these songs are part of the album that revolutionized heavy and thrash metal forever.

It does matter how much you post that you support, just means that its a bigger chance for ST to see

Hm, I swear I saw something about Onion skins in the old Suggestions page, but it was rejected… Not sure why, this seems to be a great idea.

Now get out of the kumquat's stomach and go do something productive with your life. Like playing this game over and over again. Very productive.

There might be a workaround, though…
define onion (transparency)% //when making this block check off "run without screen refresh"
forever
stamp
switch costume to ((costume #) - (1))
set [ghost v] effect to (transparency)
next costume
end

//Usage:
onion (50)%
It might work, but then again, it might not. I'll try it and see if it works.

When I was like 9 I was on a Disney website that you could make animations on (long before I knew of Scratch) and they had them I think. They aren't realy difficult to understand and on Scratch would be off by default anyway.

We're talking about in the Image editor, not the stage.

No I don't make projects anymore. I left some time ago.
I only check the forums every now and then, but other than that consider me retired.
