I just don't know what necroposting is. Can someone explain? Help

Bumping outdated, irrelevant, unwanted, unnecessary, or solved topics is called necroposting and is frowned upon in the Scratch Community.

Posting on a topic that's old or resolved is necroposting.

Imagine you come across a comment thread that has been inactive for 2 years, and you just randomly decided to hop on in and notifying the people in the thread that there's suddenly new activities on something everyone had forget about way long ago. Imagine that happening to you. Not fun.

Still one thing: What if you come across an old topic and just decide to leave a post saying this should be closed and report it to be closed. Is that still necroposting?

Yes, just report it. You don't need to announce it.

Like for an example, now that you know what necroposting is, this forum should be closed now.
