I thought that too, but when I re-enabled AdBlock it didn't go away. Now I've manually added it to the block list.

Hello! This is suggesting to have an option to disable it, not remove it.
Please read the suggestion before posting. Also, read the sticky: A guide to constructive replies

NOTE: I have installed a user script to make this banner disappear. If it changes, or gets an option to disable it please tell me!

I do think that there should be an option to disable the banner. It was good at first, but it does get annoying eventually.

I only see this banner when visiting https://staging.scratch.mit.edu/

If there isn't one already, I'd like a “Dismiss” button to appear to the side of the banner, that will get stored in the database when you click it, so that particular banner won't appear next time you visit the home page. So support for that, but not the removal of the banner completely, though I don't see that banner on scratch.mit.edu so I don't mind it (for me) being only on staging.

Infinitely support. FYI there is no dismissal method and it's annoying to just make an untitled project to dismiss it.
Also, it's a ad. If we look at Google's definition; it's a ad. It is a banner that publicizes CN's collab. Ads was previously banished from the site but I wonder what got the ST to not think this way?
