excuse me, i was into undertale BEFORE it was mainstream
since there are so many fans now, i hate it

also the genocide run is something that sans is really known for, as well as scenes such as “edgy sans with inspectorgaster blasters fightin the kiddo in the grandest hallway”

excuse me, i was into undertale BEFORE it was mainstreamUnfortunately, there are a lot of people in many fandoms that have an attitude like that, and they're serious about it.

Sans is a good character, but the way the fandom depicts him is terrible. All of the artwork of him is either him bawling his eyes out over his dead brother's scarf, or him heroically fighting the evil Frisk in the judgement hall, all of which his eye is blue and on fire.
Canonically, Sans is just a lazy skeleton who only fights when he needs to, i.e. when the very existence of the universe is at stake. He doesn't care about the death of his brother because it'll just be reset. Sometimes I feel like all the Sans fan-artists has never played Undertale. There's so much more to Sans then people think, and that part is leagues better than the old “bad time” Sans.

I love how in the guidelines it says to respect opinions, but the moment I say I don't like an overrated character it's war.

Discussing about how much you hate a character is far from being productive.It's still an opinion.
Aren't we entitled to having opinions, good or bad?
Or can we just not speak negatively about Undertale, or “the greatest game in the universe”, as it's made to be?

seriously, he's bland, repetitive, unfair, and a whole lot more.
Personally the reason why I like Sans's fight is the way it completely breaks every single rule of game design on purpose. The game goes crazy and makes it as challenging and unfair as possible, and at this point you probably deserve it.
One of the cool things about it is that Sans knows you can reset the game and start again, which he can't do, so it's actually pretty hopeless for him. The point is to try to get you to ragequit, and the fight does a good job at that, in my opinion at least.
edit: tfw you respond to the first thing that you see, then read the following pages, then realize that the post you just responded to caused drama and the drama is now being settled
