…which is why you should be happy when people tell you how to fix your mistakes, so that you know and won't make the same mistake in the future.Dude, I had an (under)overwhelming 95.96% in LA in school quarter 4, that's not much compared to my other grades. And, I'm not even English OR American. I'm IRISH. What do you expect from a 95.96% LA grade Irish kid in grammar? Not very good grammar. Not necessarily, and anyone can still try to improve their grammar.Yo, I'm 10. How good at English grammar would a 10 year old Irish kid be? Not very good. Placing an “a” before spam is unnecessary.

I just had creepy dream about a virus. And then I woke up, thank god,

no i have norton it is goodwhy not malwarebytesHis iPad isn't jailbroken as far as I know, so it can't get viruses. If he sues you then sue him back. :3 I wanted to make a virus to get even with this person in my class. He hacked my YouTube account. I then thought about making a virus that deletes files, then brings up an error that says “TROGDOR HAS BURNINATED YOUR COMPUTER.” He said that he'd sue me, though, and he doesn't have a computer. (He does have an iPad, though.)
And iPads CAN get viruses. It just takes more work. :3
I didn't even know iPads could get viruses -_-
Once I got the fake FBI scam virus on windows vista.
My parents somehow deleted it by going into Safe Mode.
Then they said "You know what? McAfee is not protecting our computer.
1 hour later, then uninstalled McAfee and replaced it with Norton 360
my mom had mcafee and i deleted it and downloaded malwarebytes
also all you have to do to delete the fbi moneypack virus is go to task manager and end the process then delete the files in the windows directory while in safe mode
except for the advanced ones that encrypt the files
they're harder

Don't use AVG, I think it acts like a virus itself. Windows Defender is good enough for most purposes.
Unfortunately, Norton is slow, bloated, and did not protect me a while ago when a rather common ransomware application infected my Windows computer. i have its good

Those messages usually come from bad websites, not the browser itself. If you think you have been infected with crapware, try using Malwarebytes. On Windows, Adwcleaner works very well.

From what I can tell, writing zeroes puts the drive back to a factory state, which is the most secure way possible. That is correct, but just writing it over with zeros (which is what the above command does) should be enough to make any data unrecoverable.I would assume it has a greater change of nobody being able to see what was there. Why do you need to encrypt random data before writing it on a disk? A plainAint nobody got time fo dat! wiping the hard drive is WAY fasterTThere is only one way to remove computer viruses. Wipe the hard drive. But really, is it worth losing both a $3000 school tuition and a $1000 laptop to win to him?Maybe, but if I put a virus on his iPad, he'd break my laptop. Can't you still put viruses in pictures and make him download it?His iPad isn't jailbroken as far as I know, so it can't get viruses. If he sues you then sue him back. :3 I wanted to make a virus to get even with this person in my class. He hacked my YouTube account. I actually heard from a person that iPad viruses exist
EDIT : And yes, through a virus that is already installed on his computer and activates when he clicks on a picture *I think*, or if the picture was a false picture and a virus sender :L
(I go to a private school.)just wipe the hard drive, it will fix your computer.Random websites are usually caused by adware - evil ads that redirect you to eat your internet data and/or download more malware. I once tried to film the adware in action on our browser back in January 2015 and then an ad with a swear word came up. -_- Then it redirected to a completely random site on sunglasses. Another site it redirected us to was an unsafe game. I got a REALLY REALLY REALLY bad virus by accidentally downloading something a week ago, it gave me computer scans and random websites on the Internet. I'm scared to go on my computer now even though it's fixed (I am on iPad)
That isn't how you clean viruses. You use an antivirus.
If you want to remove of everything else, sure.
I'll just leave this here,# dd if=<(openssl enc -aes-256-ctr -pass pass:"$(dd if=/dev/urandom bs=128 count=1 2>/dev/null | base64)" -nosalt < /dev/zero) of=/dev/sdais good enough.dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda
When you delete something, the data's still on the disk. The computer just says it isn't there so that new data can be written over it. However, data recovery programs can check to see what's still there, and recover it if not too much new data has been written.
You can hear more about this at this awesome VSauce video on where deleted files go (that's where I learned this from )
I've heard that sometimes, the data isn't fully set to nothing and it's just a SLIGHT bit detectable as 0 or 1, which super-advanced equipment can read. So most super-wipe softwares will usually write random data a few times and then zeroes.
For most people this doesn't matter, and I can't find anything saying zeroes are better than random data or vice versa.
Although if you REALLY need to make sure that file's deleted…
GUYS JUST PUT THE HARD DRIVE IN A BLENDER THAN DROP THE BLENDER OUT OF A 10 STORY BUILDING
IT WOULD WORK
OH AND WIPE IT FIRST:

That's also pretty eh. McAfee isn't that good of an antivirus and probably some bloatware your computer came preinstalled with.
Protip: reinstall your operating system when you get your computer. All but the most modern versions of Windows will ignore whatever garbage your computer was preinstalled with.
