Welcome to Aphelion, a collaboration following in the cosmic footsteps of Cosmos, a Spacetime Odyssey. This show will be a series of animated episodes, similar to the aforementioned show, but we will have our own take and present our own interesting ideas with these episodes. These will be mainly scientific and/or historical, and it's goal will be to educate all the ages of scratch in the deep and broad scientific ideas that we find interesting.

Alas, this cannot be accomplished alone! A team will be required to put together this magnificent project, and we are currently accepting new members!

Job Descriptions:

Artists: People who draw still/art for backdrops, or make animate-able art. Please note that the art style for this animation will be vector.
Animators: People who do the actual animation for the project. This will include lip sync, human, animal animation, and much more.
Musicians: People who will design and create music for the project.
Coders: People who will help with effects, de-bugging, and anything else that will require coding.
The Captains of Communications: Your job will be to make sure that people are active, and that they are aware of their newest assignment.
The Voice Actors: Your job will be to voice act for certain characters, which will vary depending on the episode. The only character so far planned out to remain for every episode will be the Narrator.

~Assignment List~

All: Let's plan out the first episode, and some essential things like The Narrator, The space ship (Like in the original show), and so on. And remember that this is a collaboration!

I (Novakitty) will design the Narrator, though we are going to need a voice actor for her! Whoever voices her will need to be dedicated, since their voice will be needed for every episode we produce.

Ideas for the first episode: How the universe began, (A good first one for the first episode, perhaps?) The world at the microscopic level, quantum physics, string theory, etc.

Also, we should use a template of sorts for each episode, sort of like this:

The intro.
The introduction to the episode and that episode's theme.
A time in scientific history that relates to the theme.
Main body of episode.
Some questions answered and many asked, several to be left to ponder by the viewer.
A closing.

Music: Maybe make a nice space-y music for our intro?

Writers: Let's get started scripting out the narrators lines; I'll give you guidelines as to what we want. I'll also write some myself, and edit the final scripts.

~Episode 1 Planning and Assignment Guidelines~

-A scene introducing the theme and show.
-Animation fading away the intro to a space backdrop.
-Animation of a special space ship (Ship of the imagination) flying past. As it goes by, the host's voice is heard. She is offering questions the viewer may have about the universe, and is saying that before some of these questions are answered, that one very important question should be answered: How the universe itself came to be.
-Script: "
-Animation of inside the space ship, the host is inside the ship, and starts talking about how there are many theories to how the universe began, and one of those theories is The Big Bang.

-Animation of a theoretical Big Bang.


(Somewhere in here a historical scene about the theories of how the universe began by other cultures.)

Hmmm… Try and get more people to join! (I didn't ignore you, I was just thinking. For now, I think captain of one operation is enough, though you could still get promoted in the future. )

I just wanted to give a few people a chance. I'll probably do it as more of a voting thing when we get more members. ^_^ Okay!
