Prevent your project from being added to a studio (45 supporters!!)

I'd prefer to have studios removed and instead focus on tags and private mystuff folders.

If somebody had a habit of doing tis on all their projects, then lets say tried to get it added to the SDS, It would be very annoying.

No support. People could use this on most all of their projects, and then where would the "share" part of Imagine, program, share be? This would be limiting the activity & interaction between Scratchers, making Scratch less of a community. Also, studios would become useless because ½ the projects would be unable to be put into studios. It could will be abused too. The spammers ALWAYS find a way.

What would happen to projects already in studios with it in? What if you want the project in some studios but not others and can't be bothered to add it to them yourself? There is so much controversy around such a simple idea and so much to work out….

I have found it really annoying when MY project gets put in other studios that I don't like so I am suggesting a feature called “locking”. This would be in your my stuff and there would be a padlock looking thing and when you click it it locks your project but when you click it again it unlocks it. This determines if a project can be added to a studio or not. There would also be a lock all and unlock all. If you want to keep the studios it is already in, you can choose “keep in studios already in” when the confirmation appears.

Q&A:

Q: What if a project gets locked that is already in a studio?
A: It will get taken out. If the owner decides to unlock it, it gives them an option to restore the studios it was in.

I think that if a project is already in a studio when it is locked, it should stay there. What if you want in a studio of your games, for instance?

You can remove your projects from studios if you click “Add to Studio” on the project page and click on the green studios to remove them.

If you are famous, you're just going to learn that studios will be there with you for a while.
Besides, what's not to like? It shows that someone really liked your project that they'd give free exposure to it by sharing it with others.
