Usually people will post a link to your porfile on theirs, but somtimes it in a project. Depending on the person, a shoutout can lead to a large amount of attention. Most shoutouts are temporary.

A shoutout is some sort of chance/competition program that scratchers can host. For example,

FamousScratcher hosted a shoutout program on his latest project. You need to comment to enter.
-Followers-: *Commenting*
Next Project: FamousScratcher chooses random people who commented and feature them in the Notes & Credits section of his next project!

That's all there is to shoutouts. It isn't really much, just a community program type of thing.

That's all there is to shoutouts. It isn't really much, just a community program type of thing.

The shoutout is not the program, but is more a prize for one, such as a contest. Sometimes, people give their friends shoutouts for no reason though.
