Whiskers: Scratch 2.0 for Incompatible Devices
Any update on this?I might add the functionality to convert BYOB to Whiskers. It might be interesting. Sorry. Like I said above, I already solved my problem. And yes, I mean running it at the same time. However, as they both change the scratch image, I found out it is impossible.
AND UPDATE: I have been hard at work trying to fix a recursive blocks bug.
2nd UPDATE: I have big plans for the future. It will not only require a new *.image file, but a bit more! And it will be ~10x faster!

Opening the image in the squeakvm just produces a black screen of death; not much to it.Can you give instructions on how to reproduce? Can I have your OS info? Do other mods work? I can reproduce the black-screen-of-death bug – although Whiskers used to work.Everyone besides me is fired. SO MANY MODS!!!!!!!!!!
Now there are less.

It's possible the Debian squeak VM is broken.
(Consider spinning up a VM running Debian if there is a subtle bug in Whiskers)

It won't be a bug in Whiskers, I have the problem with BYOB 3 (I know it's outdated but “nostalgia”) and Panther too. (For the time being I'm just using Wine but it's not really a satisfactory solution) It's possible the Debian squeak VM is broken.

I've checked, it seems to be an issue with some Linux computers, but not others. For example (and this makes it hard to see how and why the bug manifests), on my computer, I didn't see an issue last month, but it is possible a recent system update could have broken it. It's possible the Debian squeak VM is broken.

Should we file a bug against Debian then?I've checked, it seems to be an issue with some Linux computers, but not others. I see. Could be a bug upstream, then. But it worked a while ago, as the VM doesn't receive updates (for such an old VM version), so the issue must be with a recent linux update.I see. Could be a bug upstream, then. The first part about adding BYOB functionality to Whiskers: This is coming soon (the functionality will take a while, as custom reporters, lambdas, and bunches of other stuff needs to be ported correctly), or maybe may never come at all, depending on what roadblocks I may find.Any update on this?I might add the functionality to convert BYOB to Whiskers. I believe (once again) that NoMod has a name. Well I could ask the main dev but that can probably happenm
I also don't think you can predict what NoMod will reply. If you don't have a definite answer, please don't post what is essentially “I don't know”

Additionally, you (-Radical-) aren't NoMod's ears. He can see the thread himself.I believe (once again) that NoMod has a name. Well I could ask the main dev but that can probably happenm

What you're doing is acting as if you are the spokesperson for Whiskers. You aren't, unless NoMod has actually said you are (which I highly doubt).

@cs293450 and @-Radical-:I'm honestly not sure that I can get a wiki set up sometime soon, as I'm a bit busy working on the newest NuWhiskers release. Make a Wihskers wiki with users registered on forums and many articles created. When someone creates a new account on the forums, a new user appears on the User list. Also make a [block] template.
