By searching the Scratch forums, I found a Scratch archive: Scratch Versions Archive
I found it in the forums here: Scratch 1.0 beta/alpha
The archive itself was created by @technoboy10 or @djdolphin. The thread and the website conflict there.

Yeah, but where's the source code?

Sorry, I thought that was a place where you could actually download the code. From the same forum link, here's a Scratch 1.0.1 image, thanks to @djdolphin.

That's correct. I thought the ST had provided @technoboy10 with the images, on the condition people didn't download them / get the source code.

Scratch 1.0 Source
Scratch as a program was not open source at that time, so good luck finding the source code. I believe there are ways of decompiling Scratch and sniffing around but licenses might conflict and it might be against the original license included with Scratch 1.0. Your best bet is just to go here for the open source version of Scratch 2.0: https://github.com/LLK/scratch-flash

Relevant necro-bump:
So I just extract the files from the image using a program like 7Zip, and have fun?
It's also broken and in need of a fix.

Should this be in the Open Source Projects forum?
Note that most of my posts on the forums are from years ago, probably mainly in 2016.
(Unsolved!) How can you see all the shared projects of a deleted account? And some important context. And something else about it.
Please help me answer that question. (From May 2023)
(I know I may seem desperate, the person who owned the account whose projects I am trying to find had been doing some stuff that might need to get taken down)

There is a way to dig into the code of the .image file. Just use the traditional method for making a 1.4 mod.
Hello there!
I've been a Scratcher for nine years now, and I'm always happy to help!
I'm not around too often, but I check in here from time to time.
Let me know if you need anything!
