Lots of people on Scratch use terminology you might be unfamiliar with if you're new!
When I first joined, I wasn't sure what most things meant, so I decided to make a sort of dictionary!

AMV - animated music video, pretty much just an animation to a song
PMV - picture music video, similar to AMV but shows a series of photos instead of an animation
Voice Actor/Actress - when one Scratcher records their voice to be used in another's project
omp - rumoured to mean lots of things, including oh my pringles, potato, pancake, pudding, pie, etcetera
Scratch on! - this is like ‘go you!’ and is an encouraging statement
AT - art trade. This is when two Scratchers trade art with each other!
AR - art request. Similar to an AT, except one Scratcher only receives art and doesn't make any in return.
OC - original character
Platformer - a game (normally controlled with the arrow keys or WASD) that includes guiding an avatar to jump over obstacles, pretty much.
Art Dump - this is generally a project full of a lot of art made by the user.
FPC - Front Page Curator. this is a person who pics projects that go on the front page, you can read more here.
TSF - The Shop Federation
ST - Scratch Team. they're really great, and they run this site! if you want to read more, go here.
WIWO - What I'm Working On. this is the section under about me on your profile

(OMP was originally started by @The_Icecream_Girl and its first meaning was “Oh my pringles!” then she replied to one of my comments using “OMP” and I assumed it meant “Oh my pie!” So it changed to “oh my pie” xD lol sorry I feel the need to explain this, because it's like a historical moment in my life xDD)
