Also I like Moth Flight she's probably the only character who stayed well in character through every book she was in, even the super edition which is the first I've actually really really liked since the SkyClan's Destiny Tallstar is my favorite I like him in the regular books not the super edition because that's not him really
I also like Whitestorm, Ivypool, Jayfeather, Leafpool, and OneWHISKER but not Onestar though I kinda blame the Erins more for OneSTAR being horrible than I blame him

Yeah I don't like himeither. He's another Dark Forest cat where they attempt to make a backstory for him being evil but fail. I mean, Hawkfrost's only pressure was kits playing around and saying Tigerstar was bad, but nobody actually knew Tigerstar was his father. Brambleclaw turned out fine and had way more pressure- his Clamates didn't trust him and everyone was well aware he was the son of Tigerstar. I liked Brambleclaw's whole struggle with being loyal to ThunderClan or following his afther's footsteps to become leader. Hawkfrost just was a bad cat, I guess. The only way I could EVER like Hawkfrost would be because of his cunning. Edit: This post is full of spoilers. If you haven't finished arcs 1-4 and Yellowfang's Secret, and still want a surprise, I suggest you skip over this post.
I feel like most of the main characters in warriors, like Firestar, Bramblestar, Spottedleaf etc. were kind of boring. The only traits they had were being main parts of the story, and there were no flaws.
Any good writer knows that your characters have to have an element of realism for your story to work out. If your characters have no flaws, then how can they grow throughout the story? How can they become as three-dimensional as you want them to be?
So, I think my favorite character was Yellowfang, but before we found out that she had that stupid power. Without it, she was awesome, but the power was just an excuse for the Erin Hunters to write a special edition devoted to her.
Here's why I like her:
- She's really harsh and critical. I know, it sounds weird that this is why I like her, but I feel like it just makes her so much more real.
- She recognized that her son, Brokenstar, was a serious danger to the clans, and dealt with him rather than keeping him around because he was her son. This shows that she knows what needs to be done and will do it, even in a situation with lots of emotional attachment.
- Yellowfang does not put Leafpool down when it's discovered that she has kits (I always hated the medicine cat rule about that).
Sorry, die-hard Warriors fans.

I liked Brambleclaw as a warrior but not as a leader, and I liked Bluestar as a leader but not in the Bluestar's Propechy. And with Firestar I think the problem was his only flaw was he used to be a kittypet. He broke the warrior code a couple of times but each time it was unneccasary.
Yellowfang was awesome in the first series but in her super edition she was a brat, which pretty much happened to anyone who got a super edition.
The medicine cats not having kits thing was pretty stupid really, even when they tried to explain it in Moth Flight's Vision.
That reminds me of some things I want to rant about.
1. the no questioning your leader thing is useless really. I mean yeah a cat shouldn't be all “my leader is an idiot for doing this” or whatever (even though Needlepaw and those other guys did) but Whitestorm said the whole point of a deputy was to give the leader their opinion, but then apparently it's illegal. Plus, the code was apparently forgotten after the first series, but there wasn't any whole “We're removing this stupid law” stuff going on
2. The no being mates with a cat from another clan is a great rule, because it keeps you loyal to your own Clan and not torn with another. However, it's broken so much that it's ridiculous. Graystripe and Silverstream was good, and Leafpool and Crowfeather. If you ask me, that's all that was needed. Plus, stuff like Dovewing or Tigerheart or Stonefur and Squirrelpaw just seemed to be melodrama very much unneeded.
So yeah

Yeah, I agree. Most of the Warrior Code became more of a liability than a set of rules for the Clans as the series went on. Kind of interesting, how everything changed so dramatically in the third and fourth arcs as wellEdit: This post is full of spoilers. Jayfeather is my fav, then Hollyleaf. I don't really like Lionblaze or Firestar. I like Brambleclaw/star and Squrrielflight (did I spell that right?) they are better than the other leaders and deputies (in my opinion). Firepaw/heart/star was too…idk…“perfect” and always getting into other Clan's buisness and helping other Clans SO much. And,actually,I like Tigerstar better than Firestar. Hawkfrost you ask? He was fine, but he didn't appeal to me.
