Actually towards is very much a word in the English language; it's only the obscure dialect known as American English that favours toward.

so then fix it

Funny how you say that when you spell “please” incorrectly.

If it bothers you sooo much, there is a way you can change it…

• Shift+Edit > Export translation strings: commands
  
  
• Find “towards” and replace with your desired variant
  
  
• Shift+globe > import translation file
