I've only played a little bit, the only thing i've really noticed is that it takes super long to walk to places!

You go on the wiki to checkout the bugs and etc so you can avoid them.

you can get horses and minecarts later on to go faster

you can also have autorun enabled if you don't already

Yeah, I play this game. Honestly it's a pretty good game! I tried CJB cheats and; It was just HILARIOUS.
