I know, I'm saying www.xxx.tld is unnecessary, The World Wide Web is a politically incorrect term for the internet. I do know about how the internet works, you know that right? Also I do know what www is, www is not the internet, just a DNS trend. www.github.com redirects to github.comwww is a trend that started because of the World Wide Web, which, as iamunknown2 said, is the whole network of communication and data that the internet (which is basically the network of computers and servers connected all around the world) has formed, not a device or some kind of server.
I get how you perceived “www is not the internet”
Also my ISP only has one server so that's probably why my internet goes down at least once a week

Not sure why they put it in.What do world records have to do with the internet being reset?Guinness World Records. Proved by real sources, real people.Huh?GWRWell, the most common cause is the WWW. The web has been planned to be COMPLETELY reset. The server is hprrible too.The world wide web is going to be completely reset? Well, that might cause some issues..Source?

Please do not brag. And thanks for changing your signature to NOT impersonating macs.So many conspiracy theories! LOL.OH MY GOD I WAS RIGHT!
Here is what happened:
In this particular instance one of our many DB replicas had an issue with memory pressure on MySQL indexes which led to a huge drop in performance. This can be caused by custom queries that create large temporary tables. When something like this happens a system called HAProxy will detect that the replica has become unhealthy and remove it from rotation (which is why it appeared to come back so quickly). HAProxy polls each DB to check for health at a specific interval and so while it is able to recover pretty quickly, there can be momentary outages (which is what will cause backend read errors (timeouts) or 404s, 500s) that affect a subset of users that have traffic which is being handled by that replica. Hope that helps clarify.
Called it!
Also I do know what www is, www is not the internet, just a DNS trend. www.github.com redirects to github.com

There is no such WWW team. If you're talking about w3c, they just make web standards like HTML, CSS, JavaScript. They can't reset anythingGuinness World Records is going to ‘reset’ the internet? I don't care, I'll use it anywayNo. WWW team is.[/ontopic]

Actually we're using [small] to represent something sort of aside to the main content of the post – you don't need to read the small text to get the important part of the post, but it could possibly be worth reading; the info may help with troubleshooting etc.[small]Also my ISP only has one server so that's probably why my internet goes down at least once a week (Small removed by cars_456- Please do not use small to make secrets)
