Start out with a “Hello World!” project! That is how all great programmers start! Just make a scratch cat say hello world and dance on a background!

My project was something pretty random, and I would love to go back and change that, a good first project would be something introductory and explains what you want to do on Scratch.

Do something simple, don't try to make a platformer or game right away, it will discourage you. Do something fun and interactive!

I remember my first project was in 1.4 offline editor, and I was testing how things work. Now, I can make the really complicated parts.

My first real project was a really complicated fully customizable 4 player pong game.

But you should start simple. Use only a little bit at a time.
