No longer pixel perfect
So I'm trying to select between two pixels, on the new editor, using the selection tool at full zoom, but I just can't.
On 1.4 I used to be able to select between two pixels at half-way zoom, so why change it? It's only frustrating me.
Edit: Actually it's combined tow pixels into one from the old editor. Is the new editor less accurate or something?
Edit Edit: It counts as a single pixel when using the paintbrush…

This is a bug; it wasn't a purposeful change, and it's been worked on for awhile. The sub-pixel problem used to be worse, so I'm thankful it's improved. Anyway, if you want to avoid the frustration, I'd recommend either using Scratch 1.4's paint editor, or using GIMP.

That was a bug brought about by the ST when trying to implement double resolution (which uses subpixels) while fixing problems brought about by subpixelation. I've been bugging the development team about this for some time. Not sure when this is going to get resolved. Your best bet is to use an external editor at this point, unfortunately.
