I haven't been around on Advanced Topics in about a year, since I've kinda moved to Making and Creating forums. But here's an idea.

What if somebody made a mod for Scratch 2.0. It would be a 1.4 mod, but would have all blocks of 2.0 mod, and would save as sb2. This way people could make 2.0 mods.

That would be difficult.

Scratch 2.0 mods will be possible since it's being ported to HTML5.

Also, you can use a Flash decompiler to get the ActionScript source of the current Scratch player.
