Onionskin
Hey there!
I've got a suggestion for Scratch that honestly needs to be there: Onion Skin!
http://i.cubeupload.com/wTK9ah.jpg
(New Scratchers cannot post images)
Onion Skin basically shows the previous frames of an animation (or in this case, costumes). It is an essential tool that many animators use. I honestly think that we should add Onion Skin to Scratch. It would make animating sooooo much more easy, and the output of animations can be improved a LOT.
Please consider my suggestion, and support it.

I personally just duplicate the previous frame and then edit it how I need it. No support because I think onion skin will be very confusing, especially to younger Scratchers.

I didn't find it very confusing when I was younger. I personally just duplicate the previous frame and then edit it how I need it. No support because I think onion skin will be very confusing, especially to younger Scratchers.

Support as a hidden feature. I'm assuming a copy of the previous costume is shown with 50% opacity on top of the current costume being edited.

Yup. And what do you mean by ‘hidden feature?’ Support as a hidden feature. I'm assuming a copy of the previous costume is shown with 50% opacity on top of the current costume being edited.

Kind of like available in the shift+edit menu.Yup. And what do you mean by ‘hidden feature?’ Support as a hidden feature. I'm assuming a copy of the previous costume is shown with 50% opacity on top of the current costume being edited.

Semi-support. Scratch isn't really meant to be animation software.
