How do you get songs without owning and stealing from youtube? Thank you so much for any replies and helpful tips!

The only legal way to get the song is to ask the creator of the song for the original MP3 or Wav file, every other method is illegal, such as from MP3 banks or flash audio rippers. However on Scratch the legality is generally ignored because you're not earning profit from it.

You can also take it from someone else's project. However, remember to give credit!
Go to their scripts, find where they keep all their sounds, and right click on one and save to local file.

Okay, I was wondering about that, personally. I still will get in trouble with my teachers if I borrow music for my school projects, though.

I USALY LISTEN TO OTHER PEOPLES MUSIC THEN REMIX IT. WOULD THAT COUNT AS STEALING?
