The great thing about scratch is that you can make absolutely anything! Infinite possibilities! I'm pretty new as well (not as new as you though), and I enjoy making games here. Before you get into making any big projects, I recommend playing around with the scratch creator a little, that's how me as a newbie got the feel of things. Enjoy your time here.
