Inkling Language Decryption (Splatoon)
Hi everyone.
If you play Splatoon, then you are probably aware that there are lots of strange signs, sounds, and words.
Some people (like myself) have tried to decrypt the language. If you are curious to what the language means, this is the discussion for you!
We just need to crack the code. It'll be a team effort!
Thanks

I think it's just gibberish honestly.
Mix of what could be considered an American take on the Japanese Language and then some made up symbols.

My personal opinion is that it can be translated, but isn't supposed to be an actual language.

Actually it's gibberish, there's no way we can translate the inklings speaking it, we can type it however…
There's a font that basically let's you write in Inkling… Maybe with it you can make fan pronunciations.
Download it here.
I hope this helps!
Here's an example:

sorry if it's big…

Midnese (Midna speak) is just as hard.
BTW I thought inklings said “party” in an American accent, not “woomy”.

Sadly, there is no way, since it is gibberish.
Although “Woomy” and “Veemo” could be similar to animal vocals, I would think these signal excitement.

While I do like the thought of inklings having their own language, I think it's just that the inklings and octolings are saying english words in a, um, accent? Probably something with how their vocal chords are formed. Just look up any Splatoon 2 song and put “English Lyrics” after the same of the song. For example; Spicy Calamari Inkantation English Lyrics. Or Ebb and Flow English lyrics.
