Welcome to The Scratch String Orchestra! If you play a string instrument (that is played with a bow- just to clarify), and you would like to play along with a group of Scratchers, than this collaboration is for you!

About
We will be playing a variety of songs, from classical to modern day. Our collaboration will accept people with various amount of skill, from beginner to advanced. We will combine many recordings of Scratchers playing their part of the song to make one great song!

Join
We accept any Scratcher that plays a string instrument and agrees to follow the rules of this collaboration.

Guidelines
We need to have rules to make sure everyone has a great yet safe time here. If you do not agree to follow these guidelines, do not apply to join.

You must follow the Scratch Community Guidelines at all times.
You must be a Scratcher to join.
You must be active (you may drop out if you'd like).
You must follow this topic (to get updates).
You must have fun at all times! Seriously though, why join if you're not going to have fun?

Other (anything else you'd like to say): I have a really expensive viola (950$) that i use, i am also working on reading notes so i may need practice on that.

I'm guessing not because orchestra includes bass viola violin cello violoncello contrabass so forth but not guitar. Maybe there will be an exception in this case.

Sorry, but I'm focusing on instruments played with a bow (violin, viola, cello, or bass). I might make another collaboration later that includes guitar, though.

ok, so i'm working on a sheet music with a violin, 2 violas and a bunch of percussion and 2 pianos. We could possibly use that. Heres a link just so you know it isn't done yet, and it needs to be converted to the correct clefs so you can actually read them.

That's nice, but we'll need sheet music that has the parts with bass and cello too. Grand piano would work well though, and percussion is a nice addition.
