Does that cat even have a name? I mean, something besides Scratch Cat or Meow? Also is it a he or a she?

And I know it's a cartoon cat but what breed is it? Orange tabby?

And has anyone else wondered abut this?

I think it doesn't have a name, gender (although considered mostly a boy), or a breed (cartoon cats, such as Tom and Blaze the Cat, do not have a specified breed). It's up for the scratchers to decide.

Out of all the years the Scratch Cat has been the main thing about Scratch, the ST has never revealed it's gender or name.

But, that's up for YOU to decide.

Okay, thanks! I was just wondering, since I need that info for a project.
I have decided that's it's an orange tabby boy cat whose name (literally) is Meow, because that seems to be closest to what it really is.

He's called the Scratch Cat in the early beta of 2.0, Sprite1 everywhere else, and Scratchy in the Super Scratch book. The most commonly used name is Scratch Cat.
