I think it may actually be possible already. These are the steps:

1) Download projects to computer
2) Use this to transfer it to .swf
3) Use Adobe Air to transfer from .swf to .apk
4) Download and install to any android running device

Again, I am it sure if it would work for transferring to .apk, but it would work for .exe or other run-able file types

You use a Air SDK.

YOU CAN PLAY SCRATCH GAMES ON MOBILE, THERE IS A SUPER EASY WAY!!!!! If you go on your phone, go to your web browser and type in phosphorus scratch. Click the first link, there should be an address bar on the page. Add the project ID for the project you want to run, wait for it to load and BAM! You can play your favorite scratch games on mobile!

how to turn a scratch project into a .exe file easy, first you go to the bottom of any scratch page and find ‘Offline Editor’ and download that after
go back to the scratch website and choose any project and click ‘see inside’,do that and again click ‘file’ then click ‘download to your computer’
(but remember to create a new file) then download it to that new folder then launch the offline editor and click open then click that new folder that you created, then save, find what you saved and if there is the scratch cat icon on it,that means you have done it

It Is Possible!

On Apple You Use phosphorus To Get It Into A Java File And Use The Internet Program On Your iOS To Run It.

On Android Use This (This If The Other App Doesn't Work) App To Run Your Scratch Project.- If You Want To Change The Scratch Project, Shake Your Android 5 Times And Press The Clear Button That Shows Up.

Scratch 3.0 is on the way, and this time they're adding mobile versions, so I think your suggestion is already on the way!

It is possible (for android)

Do:
1. Go to phosporus and get a fullscreen direct url to ur project
2. Code a web loader or use one of the ones on the appstore ( or even mit app inventor ) and put in the URL to the phosporus project
3. Take your APK and install it
4. Done! You will need to give the APK to those that want it, because it costs to upload apps to the playstore.

You will however need to make it touch friendly to make it work. (For example keystrokes)

You need flash, which won't work on iOS/Android. But you can embed a project in a website.

so this whole entire forum confused me… what is the result.. can you or can you not make an app using scratch? and if you cant, does this website work —-> “appinventor.mit.edu” … also how much does it really cost to post an app in the app store? And why would you not get full credit for your own app that you created? … someone please answer all my questions lol..

Hey there! Welcome to the Suggestions forums.
There is this thing called necroposting, which is posting on an old topic without adding information. As you can see, this topic was a month old. Please check the date of the last post before posting. Thanks!

Also, if you would like to convert a Scratch project into an app, you can visit this Scratch Wiki page for Mac, and this page for Windows.

Support for an official way to use Scratch on mobile. No support for making projects into apps because it would prevent remixing.

No, how?

It's not impossible.
Mobile stuff doesn't support Flash, Scratch uses Flash. Simple logic.

Although, I have heard of this special browser that uses some strange technique to get Flash, but it is incredibly laggy. Plus you would need to buy a keyboard and stuff to be able to play anything with user input.
Actually, we could publish our project or put it onto a site that can run Scratch projects such as Phosphorus, and then take the embed code and put it into a java or C# program to show the game, (this is how some ads work, and how you can interact with some ads) which allows the user to interact with the game, I do not code in C# but I do a little in Java, so this is possible, I think. Same way people publish on GameJolt.
Correct me if you think I am wrong on anything, although I am pretty confident.

I know, Scratch is coded in Squeak, and Apple apps are coded in Swift and some in Objective C.

Actually I believe that 2.0 is coded in VBScript (?) and run by an ActionScript program. 1.4 is coded in Squeak though. (Maybe? Idek.)
