Can I work with a friend on a scratch program simultaneously?
I want to work with him on a game but I can't figure out how. If this isn't a feature then make it one.

……………. SHOOT THE SPACE MONSTERS! …………….
A game everyone can play! Has a “no lose” free play mode! Bright colors, bonky sounds! You will love this game!
Nice advertisement -_-
Like I said: I want to work with him SIMULTANEOUSLY. That means at the SAME TIME.
I repeat my above statement. If I can't work with him simultaneous;y, then I should be able to.
[Removed… keep it polite]

This is a signature. The user can do anything as long as it abides the community guidelines.
Also, this has been rejected in the past- There is really no way to program simultaneously on a project. Doing so may cause people logging out randomly if you share an account.
Invite your friend over, and you guys can simply program from there.

Remixing and backpacking is the only answer. Collab accounts are now banned on Scratch, due to privacy issues.

Well that sucks. Is there a way I can write some code and give it to him?

Well that sucks. Is there a way I can write some code and give it to him?Like others have already said, by remixing and backpacking the scripts.
If you really don't want to do that, you last option is to make a shared account.
A shared account is when both of you have the password to the account.
It's highly discouraged by the Scratch Team, but not banned.
This means to of you have access and can edit the same project.
However, still no simultaneous editing.
If the two of you were to edit the project at the exact same time, only one version would be saved.

Like, “guys, we can't/won't stop you but seriously don't do it” level of discouragement.
Not trying to argue, I'm genuinely curious - when did the Scratch Team outright ban collab accounts?
Can you link me to an announcement or topic if there is one (I probably missed it)?

That really stinks because I want to work on a project with @BCRocks and I have been searching for a way to do so without remixing. I hope the Scratch team can change their minds and make it possible in the future.

Also, it won't be added for the reason below:

I do think it should be added to the rejection list because the moderation and technical issues are quite substantial and I don't think we should spend time discussing it until we have more resources available to address those.

Actually, never mind about the duplicate post part. This was posted first.
