What type of file does Scratch require to upload videos, or can Scratch even upload videos? I keep getting something like “Scratch cannot upload this file type” or something like that. Pls help.

No, you cannot upload video files, if you must upload a video you can try converting it to a .GIF, but that's not the easiest thing to do.

If you have a 1 minute long video that you want to upload to scratch, you can try using a video to gif converter. But for most video to gif converters, you can only make 15 second gifs at the max, so you have to make multiple gifs and upload them at a separate sprite each. And while you are uploading this, your computer can freeze, and you will have to restart it, since scratch can't really handle uploading the sheer mass of all the images. (And I'm using a brand-new macbook pro)

So I would really just avoid trying to to that at all. If you have a fairly short video, it might be do-able.
