Pen down drawing a trail under Sprite

I created a Sprite and then issued a Pen down command. Now, when I use the arrow keys to navigate around the screen, the pen trail is either above or below the Sprite by about an inch or so as opposed to being under it. I have tried to Set the X and y coordinates above the Pen Down command and that does not seem to fix it. When I use the default Cat Sprite, the product works perfectly.

Thanks

Your Sprite must be of Centre. To fix this go into the costume edit area and drag your sprite into the middle

Many thanks. That has fixed a lot of problems that I have been having for the last 2 months. Getting it centered in the cross hairs seems to make the difference.

To make the pen follow the sprite, simply use the command:
pen down
To stop it following, use:
pen up
You cannot do two pens at once from one single sprite. Cloning is one way - draw from the sprite and the clone.

New questions should be made in a new topic. Anyway, the pen always follows the sprite, and if you want to draw with multiple lines, you can make more sprites, each for a different line

Perhaps the glide block works in a different way that the goto-xy and move-steps blocks do it.

Please don't advertise here!
You project may be pen-related, but it doesn't answer the question asked.
Also, the question about the pen has long since been solved; please read all posts before posting, okay?

Lol, I ain't no pro at anything. You know how a plane has a trail of dust behind it? How do you make it after the dust is shown the ghost effect can be used on that specific dust so it disappears right before your eyes,

Please create your own next topic rather than necroposting.

You probably want to use clones. Find my train set project for an example.
