They got more work on their hands and aren't fast as Sonic. Patience is the best method.

But appealing 4 times, and it took over 60 days. All they answered was this: (I don't remember all of it)
“The Scratch Team gets a lot of contacts and messages, so it may take a while to answer you.”
(Basically how it was).

There you go. “The Scratch Team gets a lot of contacts and messages, so it may take a while to answer you.”
The website isn't as automated as you think. Behind every report, every appeal, and (almost) every ban, there is a human being(s) at the Scratch Team Headquarters who makes the decisions of these.
With a backlog of reports and whatnot (due to false reports, or these people not being available 24/7), it's natural that processing this kind of stuff can take time.
As for the 60 days thing, I think appeals aren't seen as high priority as reports, so it can take longer for a Scratch Team member to respond to them. 60 days seems like a while though.
In my opinion, I would wait the appeal out and see what happens with it.
Edit: You should regularly check your email if you appeal, as what cheddargirl has said.

Why doesn't the Scratch team respond in 3 days to a ban?
If we're not responding to a ban, it's usually because:
- the contact e-mail address is fake, or there was a typo in it so it got delivered to the wrong address
- the banned person's e-mail is not accepting e-mail coming from the @scratch.mit.edu domain
- the appeal is disrespectful or spammy. Spammy ones can end up being added to an e-mail blacklist, so it's important that the e-mail is not spammy the first time an appeal is sent.
- the case requires an adult to appeal
I did a bit of digging; seems like in your case there were multiple replies sent, but none we heard back from you, so something is up on your end.

My appeal was not even close to spammy, and I used a confirmed email address. I appealed like 4 times. That's enough.

As cheddargirl stated - they already replied multiple times to your appeals. If you aren't seeing them, then it probably has something with your e-mail system. (Try checking the spam folder- maybe your e-mail system moved the response there)If we're not responding to a ban, it's usually because:

Why doesn't the Scratch team respond in 3 days to a ban?
As I mentioned before, we sent multiple replies, and so the case is pending waiting on you to respond back to the replies we sent you. Your best bet is to try a different e-mail address since it seems like you're not getting any of the replies that were sent after the “it might take a while” message was sent.As cheddargirl stated - they already replied multiple times to your appeals. Why doesn't the Scratch team respond in 3 days to a ban?
Nope, they were all responded to on time. The tickets are listed as pending because we're waiting for a reply back. So if you didn't receive the follow-up e-mail, something is definitely going wonky on your end.As I mentioned before, we sent multiple replies, and so the case is pending waiting on you to respond back to the replies we sent you. Can I include that in my game about killing kumquats? Sadly, my forum signature was eaten by an evil kumquat.

Why doesn't the Scratch team respond in 3 days to a ban?
To reiterate was has been said above, the main reason that the ST doesn't respond is if it is disrespectful ( e. g. IF YOU BAN ME THEN YOU NEED TO BAN THAT OTHER GUY TOO THEY ARE BEING EVEN MORE !!!!! ), or if they want an adult to appeal but it continues to be a child.
