Paper Mario
I already love this series so much that I thought that it deserved its own topic.
Discuss the Paper Mario games! This is my favorite series of RPGs next to Pokemon and Mother. It's sad that not many people (that I know, at least) really care or know about it. They're incredibly unique experiences. My favorite of the series is Super Paper Mario, but The Thousand Year Door really really comes close too. I'm currently playing through the N64 game right now, and I've also recently started Sticker Star. I don't see why so many people don't like it–it's great! I like the game mechanics and the concept of “stickers” is pretty cool.

I was more shocked that he preferred it the Thousand Year Door. I'm glad Super Paper Mario is getting more recognition. Someone else likes Super Paper Mario? I thought I was the only one!

Paper Mario
So did I! I don't know why Super Paper Mario gets so much hate from the fanbase. I loved the platforming aspects of the game, and they really seamlessly fused it with the RPG elements. Plus, the concept of flipping between 2D and 3D I thought was really cool. Someone else likes Super Paper Mario? I thought I was the only one!
I just think that everyone's hung up on The Thousand-Year Door and still too nostalgic for it. TTYD was an amazing game, easily one of the best GameCube titles, but I enjoyed Super Paper Mario a little better for one reason: it was different. I felt that TTYD's gameplay was too similar to Paper Mario on the N64.

I've only played Sticker Star (which from what I hear is the worst in the series, even though it's a decent game), but I prefer the Mario and Luigi games to Paper Mario.

Sticker Star is definitely not too up to par with the other games but it's still a great game in my eyes. I've only played Sticker Star (which from what I hear is the worst in the series, even though it's a decent game), but I prefer the Mario and Luigi games to Paper Mario.

I agree. I personally loved Super Paper Mario. I actually liked it more that TTYD for it's fun gameplay and really nice plot (not that TTYD was bad, it's great). Though I was disappointed by Sticker Star because… it has basically the same plot as Super Mario Galaxy, only with PAPERIZATION!

Ummm.. why? The game's too difficult for you? Or do you just hate TTYD so much? In fact, the only things that were difficult for me was the Sir Grodus battle and the Pit of 100 trials. I like all of them except TTYD. I had anger management issues when i played it, and i ALMOST broke my gamecube controller.

Paper Mario is such a great series! The very first Paper Mario game I ever played was Super Paper Mario. And it is really good! I beat the whole game except the Flopside pit of a hundred trials. I later got Sticker Star, which wasn't as great as Super, but still fun. I got all the way to Bowser. And this year for Hanukkah, my mom got me the N64 Paper Mario, which is REALLY great! I'm hoping to maybe eventually get TYD.

The only thing that really saved Sticker Star, honestly, was the music. Everything else was meh to bleh.

I've only played PM64 on Virtual Console on a Wii. It's awesome!
