How do you make your thumbnail animated?

This is an example of a project with an animated GIF.

Setting a thumbnail to an animated one requires HTTP requests, however can be done with a simple Java program @MegaApuTurkUltra created. Just visit the project link in the notes of the example project linked and you should find a download link. THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!! All projects with animated thumbnails will become NFE, which means they cannot be front-paged and will appear rarely in the search results.

Thumbnails are super simple! Go to images and type in GIF. Their are a lot of animated things!!! (But some you find will not be animated) Then once you select what you want your thumbnail to be, you drag it to your thumbnail thingy like you have done before!!
