Which is funny: It's good to reboot your desktop computer. It is often very bad / painful to reboot your server. Go figure.

nice. i know what you mean i have a tekkit (modpack for minecraft)
server and as soon as you reset it, everything goes haywire!

Yeah, it took a while. Good news is that now we have a nice UPS installed. So we should be able to stay up for the minute or so that it takes for the backup generators to kick in when we lose power.

Granted - the routers aren't on one, so we'll probably lose connectivity in the event of a power loss. But they can usually recover much more easily / quickly than the servers can.

also i broke into a bit of a sweat as i have a project for art on here and the server was down more than two hours

But MIT uses Eastern Time, and I am in that timezone.
