The other things mentioned are not very good for another rank. Why shouldn't everybody have a large About Me and What I'm Working On? Why shouldn't everybody have the ability to choose wallpapers? Why shouldn't everybody have a mute button?

The ideas presented in this topic are too much of rank-based perks. The only reason for ranks is to determine different tiers of responsibility - New Scratcher only exists to provide a handicap to spambots and the like. The only reason we would need a new rank is if a Scratcher was responsible to have some restrictions lifted.

What I would like is separate ranks between the forum and the rest of the site, because sometimes people don't go to the forums when they're New Scratchers because they feel incapable to do so, because the feel inferior, and when they join as Scratchers and don't know anything about the forums (constructive posting, blockspamming, necropositing) they don't have all the forum restrictions made for newcomers.

It is determined by how many scripts there are, how long they are, how well they have behaved in the comments and forums, and likely having a featured project will be a criteria.

Not all long scripts mean they are good projects. I can make a very long script, that does the same as a short script. Someone could make very long scripts that do nothing, so they will get the rank.
