Letters/Numbers sprites

Hi!
My idea is fonts and numbers sprites. It will be sprites with all letters or numbers as costumes (in diffrent fonts). It could be very useful for creating text engines. I hate the part of creating projects where I need to draw all letters for my engine. Or: Button “Import font” After you click it and choose font file, you get windows with options what you want to import (letters, numbers, special). When you choose and click ok all the thing you choosed will be in your sprite as costumes.

Maybe both of them will be added. I really hope so!

There already are costumes of letters and numbers, but I don't think it's possible to import all of them into one sprite without individually selecting and importing each costume. Support for making it easier to do that.

Or maybe when adding a costume from the costume library you can select multiple costumes to add.

Support; this would be much easier to add fonts…but what if you don't want all of the letters in just one costume? And what about foreign letters?

@up Like I said - there'll be a windows where you can choose what you want to add letters/numbers/special + maybe “advanced options” - choosing exactly what letters you want to add.

This is how to add multiple costumes at a time, not how to make fonts.

First, you got to the list of Scratch provided costumes. You can click on the first costume you want to use, then hold down shift while clicking on the other costumes you would like to use.

Edit:

This is not for costumes you already have in the sprite, but for costumes you want to use.

That's duplicating costumes. The OP was asking for importing fonts as sprites.

I think being able to upload .ttf files would help more because you could just type in a text box

Anyway, this suggestion seems pretty good. I'm working on a game right now that will need PTE, but the ideation of having to save and upload 36 letter and number images is a shuddering thought.

Currently the alphabet sprites are separate and not in costumes, and numbers aren't even in the library iirc. I've been in the situation in which I managed to make alphabets in all of the costumes but apparently the needed to be centered for the thing to even work. Such a sprite would be useful, but with centered costumes please. I really wish they added back the centering grid from Scratch 2.0, but until then, support for centered costumes.
