FEZ
XBLA and Steam
10$
by polytron
platformer
gomez lives in a 2d world
in a floating village
with villagers obsessed with 2d
until he finds a fez hat that gives him the power to control the third dimension
you can change the perspective in 90 degree increments
to use them to your advantage to get all 32 pieces of the broken hexahedron
which has ripped holes into the world
which are deadly
the aesthetic is amazing
made with pixel art
and took five years
the graphics are amazing
gameplay is calm and stress free
amazing game.

No, not that. One of my friends used to be OBSESSED with this game, and he stopped liking it after the FEZ II disaster, and I have this whole joke that he still likes it and I call him a “Fezzy *insert his name here*” and he hates it, but I think he still does.let me guess,

Oh XD I think that twitter incedent was a TRAGEDY also, I mean seriously? Telling a guy to “Go kill himself” because he didn't like his game! O.oNo, not that. I totally agree. I have it on Steam, but I got bored of it after a while. It's still great though.
Phil Fish is a huge jerk however. Canceling his game because someone said something bad about it is just stupid.
He needs to calm down.

Honestly, I respect the decision of Phil Fish. He didn't just cancel the sequel to Fez because said they didn't like his game; it was because even though he had devoted over five years of his life to this and went through so many challenges and then had to face all of these negative reactions not just against the game but also personal attacks and death threats against himself. I do recognise that he seems to have anger management issues, but you still need to recognise that he didn't just do this because of criticism on his game. It's a lot easier to say that you could withstand all that than have to do it. People calling him a jerk because of this are only making matters worse, really. He doesn't owe anything to anyone.

Oh, well of course you can call him a jerk because of that, just not because of this. Though he does have the right to state his opinion and later apologised to the developer who asked the question (who initially didn't understand the answer).I can understand that, but what about this? BEST?!
I beg your pardon! Clearly there are plenty more awesome indie games, like plenty more to list.
And yeah, his whole dramatic ragequit really doesn't better my image of him, or his reputation.
Fun fact: In The Binding of Isaac, Judas wears a fez, because apparently in some convention (forgot which one, argh) Fish apparently voted against the creator of the game and some other guys, and the rest happened.

If I recall correctly, it's more than that. He was posting on his Twitter flamebait and being a drama queen. It wasn't criticism over his game -I recall that it was well received- but once those inflammatory posts went to light? Woosh, there goes the good rep of him and his baby. I have seen some people who wouldn't buy it precisely because of this whole controversy. Honestly, I respect the decision of Phil Fish. Phil Fish can decide for himself if FEZ II is cancelled or not.
I have seen the movie Indie Game: The Movie, and he is that type of person.
You have to respect his desicions.
In Indie Game: The Movie, one scene he was scrolling through comments saying “Phil Fish. I hate you” and stuff like that because his game wasn't released in 2010 like it was schedueled to be.
He has gone through lots of stress making this game, and he is, by seeing that movie (well, half of it), a very sensitive person.
A bunch of insults from The Annoyed Gamer might just tick him off.
