If you mean create a movie from a running scratch project then no you'd have to use screen capture software for that.

I believe that can't be done. You can record your game and import it into iMovie, but not an actual project. What were you thinking of doing? I mean to import a made scratch project into an imovie presentation.
Thanks Helen

I want to make a presentation introducing “Scratch” for my media education program, and I thought I might import a scratch video as part of an imovie presentation. I don't know yet how this is going to happen, but this is my goal. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Helen

Oh, so you just want an introduction video? Wouldn't a screen recording work there? I'll list two programs just in case: I want to make a presentation introducing “Scratch” for my media education program, and I thought I might import a scratch video as part of an imovie presentation. I don't know yet how this is going to happen, but this is my goal. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Well, since your using iMovie, I assume you're also using a Mac. In that case, the QuickTime Player can do screen recordings. Just open it, and at the top control bar, go to File, then New Screen Recording.
If you want to use a different program, then I'd recommend Camtasia. It's a really nice program, but its free trial only lasts a month long.
