Preventing One-Word Comments and Comments With Only Numbers on Projects (Not Replies)
Hi!
I've been curated 3 times, and have noticed something. Many comments are only things like “Cool” or “Wow.” These comments are nice comments, but are not constructive. An example of a constructive comment could be: “Cool! I like how you did…” or: “Wow, impressive! Maybe you could…” These are the types of comments that are helpful. They can give the creator ideas for what to add, or just make them happy. When I get a comment that says “Cool,” it makes me happy, but it doesn't feel personal. A filter that prevented that would encourage people to be constructive.
Another type of bad comment that has the same concept behind it are comments of scores. Typing a number isn't what a comment is. Also, when my game Seven Seconds was curated, I typed in the instructions: “Please do not post scores.” That didn't seem to work. about 2/3rds of the comments were scores. At first I deleted them, but it got too tedious. It really annoyed me that people went to the trouble of commenting, and all they wrote was a number.
A solution could be to have a comment filter that blocked one-word comments. It would have an alert that says: “Please write a more helpful comment” and it would prompt people to think: “What could I say that helps the creator?”
Also, there could be a button like the draft button on a project, where the owner would decide if they allowed one-word comments.

(Oh, and another problem with one-word comments is when people post the symbols that scratch provides, like the Scratch Cat and the foods.)

No support for numbers unless it's optional, because many people encourage posting scores and / or game codes, which may be numbers.
I also don't support for the one-word filter unless, again, it's optional, because it seems like a limited problem that only affects people who want constructive comments. I myself don't care (and I also never receive comments) so I wouldn't want this filter because I wouldn't want to arbitrarily block people from commenting on my projects.

Not all comments like those have 1 word.
(“Wow, cool!”, “This is awesome!” , “Nice project!” for example) Anyway, no support because as mentioned before, people can work around it easily and some users like people commenting scores on their projects.

As I wrote in the original post, the creator could be able to decide if one-word comments are allowed. There could be a button like the draft button on a project, where the owner would decide if they allowed one-word comments.

I like the idea of the first one with the one-word filter, especially since I do it too much myself.
The second one with numbers would be annoying because in some projects you can post a save code which people can load and play on games like ultimate game creator 6 and paper minecraft. If thats put in then people won't be able to post their codes in the comments anymore.

It's by-passable; therefore, it is literally a piece of ineffective code the ST took their time on while they could work on something else (not saying it's a bad suggestion). Not everyone can give constructive criticism, sometimes people think it's perfect all-round, that's why I put “Awesome game!” or “Amazing!!”; I can't find anything to add.Not all comments like those have 1 word.(“Wow, cool!”, “This is awesome!” , “Nice project!” for example) Anyway, no support because as mentioned before, people can work around it easily and some users like people commenting scores on their projects.

0% support because they are saying if they think they are good or not and plus peeps would just do “11 cool” Hi!

If you haven't noticed when commenting you MUST post a positive or constructive comment; it is reportable for being negatory.snip0% support because they are saying if they think they are good or not and plus peeps would just do “11 cool”
P.S. No need to quote the entirety of the original post as it just wastes room.

Support. Not that it would be very effective, but would be quite a good help.
It would display the message “One-word comments prohibited” when clicking the button instead.
Also make it not filter link comments, because sometimes they link to a related or wanted project.
That's also why I support the “project” comment tag!

No support. To tell you the truth, when I get those comments that only say “cool” I am very happy, because usually no one sees my projects. I also like comments like you said, such as “Great idea! Why not make a vector version of this project?” or “You should add more characters. Excellent Project! I got score 45 by the way.”
But I don't like “Good! You should add this and add that and delete this and change that” because they are bossy.
Also, “123” or “cool” is usually what I will only comment, because 1. It's easier. I have other things to do than spend all my time commenting. 2. I am typing on a MacBook Air, which doesn't feel nice to type on.
