I don't know if “selecting multiple points” was what the OP was going for but I sure hope it was. “Grouping points” sounds weird and clunky, assuming that it would literally just work like the current grouping function but for points.

Okay, in that case the only thing that this thread could be for now is the weird literal grouping thing I alluded to in my first post here, so I don't think I would like any further features from this thread.

When I'm in the vector and I group some shapes and then go to another look and then back again the shapes aren't grouped anymore

so i hope the scratch team can make that it remembers what shapes are grouped.
