We are a friendly and welcoming community of fans of the popular Cartoon Network show. We encourage discussion on any topic related to Steven Universe, whether it's theories, thoughts on the episodes, original characters/Gemsonas, or just ramblings of what's on your mind.

If you are new to this topic, we ask you to follow a few guidelines in order to maintain order in the topic.

1. Ignore posts that are off-topic and/or spamming. Report them if they become excessive. Please move all off topic posts to the Offtopic Studio, made by awesomekid0224.
2. Don’t make posts with the intent of antagonizing and/or provoking people.
3. If you find another user particularly disagreeable, DO NOT ENGAGE. Everyone is entitled to their opinions.
4. If a post is genuinely offensive or harmful in some way, report it and leave it at that.
5. In the case that fighting or spamming does get out of control, get a Scratch Team member.
6. Post something thoughtful and/or productive sometimes. Constantly posting memes gets annoying after a while.

Yeah, I think so too.

EDIT: We can assume it will be good. Of all new shows that I've watched, there was only one that I actually disliked. I'm guessing Steven Universe isn't about to become the second one.

I just noticed that the characters have five fingers. That's not very common in cartoons.

I'm expecting it to be good, but most of Cartoon Network's recent shows have tried to steal the “randomness” of Adventure Time and Regular Show, Most of those shows were gone in no time (for example: Secret Mountain Fort Awesome, Problem Solvers, Uncle Grandpa, etc.). From the picture/what I've read about the show it looks like it SU is trying to do the same, but you can't judge a book by it's cover, I guess.

I agree with you, in part. It kind of depends on your definition of “randomness.” Secret Mountain Fort Awesome and Problem Solvers were both gone in no time, and in a way, they did seem to have stolen the randomness. Uncle Grandpa is actually still running, by the way, and from what I've seen, it seems to be doing fairly well. Steven Universe seems kind of like it will be a little… different somehow. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it doesn't seem like it will be your typical nonsensical cartoon.

It seems to be the random that the Internet likes, if that makes any sense.
There seems to be two kinds of random to me.
There's complete randomness (Secret Mountain Fort Awesome, Uncle Grandpa) which it seems like no one likes, and then there's a storyline with random characters (Adventure Time, Invader Zim, etc.) which it seems like a lot of people like.

I think there's a possibility that there will be a storyline to Steven Universe. At least, a more in depth story than most cartoons.
