The ones I made with pushpins are a little tricky to get to work bit it is possible. What gun are you planning on using them in? The flywheel guns don't work all that well with these. Without the rubber head it has a hard time grabbing them.

I take mine apart and spray paint the separate sides and pieces but i think you can do it with regular paint and a brush.

nerf bullets can actually really hurt depending on how much force is deployed on them.
they also really hurt if…
1. you get hit in the eyes/face
2. you get hit in the crotch (this may apply to boys/men more. )
