Fonts and Typography
(general fonts and typography related creativity discussion topic)
Being into web design and all, I do a lot of typographical experiments and studies. Discuss typography or font-making here.
I'm working on a font just for fun a little bit every day, and I'm going to license it under the OFL (Open Font License). Check it out so far:
Update: More glyphs, better “h” glyph!

Dude, I'd definitely use it. I love sans serif fonts, although I'd have to say that it looks a bit too thin… But, again, that can be fixed by bolding it. Sweet stuff, man, hope you finish it.I KNEW people were gonna say that. xD So would you use it? :3 Cool! The I looks like a fork

I like it, but I think you should get rid of those little lines on the n and the i

Thanks! That's weight 100 - the thinnest - it'll come in different weights. The weights are from 100 to 800, 800 being the thickest (ultra bold extreme insane-ness).Dude, I'd definitely use it. That's the unique element of the font, I don't want it too plain. I can make another one that's very simplistic once I finish this one. I like it, but I think you should get rid of those little lines on the n and the i

I like it! the little lines are pretty unique, though to be honest I can't think of anywhere it could be used lol

The double-barring on some of the letters makes it unique, but they also look out of place, and they confuse the eye a little (perhaps a bit too thin?)
Still an attractive font, though.

That font looks nice. You should submit it to Google Fonts when it is complete.

Fonts are underrated. Often times I see people just quickly slapping a font on to their work without a second work. The truth is that typography can be the difference between a consumer doing something or not so I definitely think spending a few minutes to find a good font is worth it.
I also think people use bloated fonts too much, ones that are too fancy or distracting. The point of typography is to assist the words, not the other way around.

Exactly. Fonts are used in the wrong places too many times. Fonts are underrated. Often times I see people just quickly slapping a font on to their work without a second work. What do you mean? Comic Sans can be used EVERYWHERE perfectly fine. Thanks! Yeah, it's experimental anyway, but if you /really/ think about it, Comic Sans doesn't fit any sane category and is STILL overused ;3 I like it! the little lines are pretty unique, though to be honest I can't think of anywhere it could be used lol
