Five Nights at Freddy's
Now all we need is a Romeo to drink poison! xD It appears that the ST has fallen on their own swords here, after months of:But I'm happy with the change! I agree that FNAF projects were getting out of hand. We're not going to ban all FNAF projects out of hand because we think it is possible to make a project about it without going against the Community Guidelines. We will, of course, continue to moderate the site and hope that if you find *any* projects that you think are inappropriate for Scratch, you will click on the report button and let the moderators know.
But step back a bit and evaluate what you are looking at before deciding. Is it really too scary? Or is it just scary because somebody told you that everything FNAF-related is super scary? Try to be objective.
But, anyways, I personally agree the Scratch Team was right to semi-ban FNAF, because Scratch is supposed to be appropriate for all ages.

Hey buddies, let me tell you all something. Quit acting this way, with all this immature flaming rage towards the Scratch Team, which happens to be WORKING every single day to keep this website running… Instead of cursing and yelling at the ST, you should actually be grateful for what they've been doing, otherwise this place would be a complete mess.
Sometimes you have to make some sacrifices in order to make things better.

This is so IRONIC because guess what even when fanf isn't popular another horror game will come from scott and his whole thing will happen again so what's the point in doing it but OK time ram fnaf world into them and explode the website with it. (cause it WILL happen)
Fnaf world is…. CUTE! Watch the trailer on YouTube!

Five Nights at Freddy's
Okay! All my projects for FNAF won't be scary. I like making them funny and happy. Anyway, so Parsec's games for FNAF are being removed? Over the past year, the Scratch moderation team has been thinking (and rethinking) our stance on Scratch projects that feature the popular video game Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF).
When these projects started appearing in the community, we heard from a number of Scratchers who questioned the appropriateness of these projects on an all-ages website. We’ve continued to hear from Scratchers, teachers, and parents who have expressed concern about these projects.
Which aspects of the games can be considered inappropriate according to the Scratch Community Guidelines? 1) Graphic content: Many projects contain disturbing imagery that can be seen as too intense for Scratch. 2) Backstory: The plot of Five Nights at Freddy's is rooted in murder and kidnapping. 3) Jumpscares: Frightening images abruptly flash on the screen.
What’s the impact of this content on Scratch? Multiple school districts have blocked access to Scratch. Several parents have reported their children having nightmares. A number of community members feel uncomfortable browsing Scratch because of this type of content.
In the coming weeks, the Scratch moderation team will begin to unshare some “Five Nights at Freddy's” content from the website. We will start to unshare emulations of the game (i.e. Scratch projects designed to be replicas of the game), since emulations of the original game contain much of the game’s original scary content and background story.
Content moderation is difficult. We want to ensure that you are all able to express yourselves while also balancing the needs of the community. We understand that unsharing and restricting content is no fun — but we hope you understand why we have decided to take this step to help make sure the Scratch community remains a friendly site for people of all ages.
Thanks,
Scratch Team
FAQ:
Why not implement an age appropriateness rating system on Scratch?
Everything shared in our community should be appropriate for all ages. Any type of age restriction placed on a project by the Scratch Team, community members, or project authors isn’t aligned with this philosophy.
Can I put a disclaimer on my Scratch project to warn people it's not for all ages?
Everything shared in our community should be appropriate for all ages. Any type of age restriction placed on a project by the Scratch Team, community members, or project authors isn’t aligned with this philosophy.
Will all Five Nights at Freddy’s content be unshared?
Nope. We’ll only unshare projects that violate our Community Guidelines. For instance: An emulation of the game containing all of the elements described above are not okay. On the other hand, a Freddy Fazbear dress up game? That’s probably okay.
Will this lead to my account being blocked?
Nah. No worries if you created a Five Nights at Freddy’s project in the past. However, we ask that you do not reshare the project if it violates the Community Guidelines.
Will I be able to reshare my project?
If you remove the parts that make the project inappropriate — the jump scares, the scary backstory, the frightening images, or any other content that isn’t appropriate. If you are unsure if your project is reshareable, you can email Contact Us and we will reevaluate your project.

Don't overreact! No, when the Scratch Team semi-bans FNAF doesn't mean they hate it. It's just that the graphic violence, the backstory and jumpscares were considered inappropriate because Scratch is supposed to be for all ages.

But Five Nights At Muffinnerry's had no gore, no scary backstory, and no terrifying ‘jumpscares’. The game over screen is just you looking up at the robots! I spent ages on that game! Fnaf Z and X, they were parodies, and were not scary. I'll just quit Scratch, get a GameJolt account, and share my stuff there.

That's what I think you're doing with blocking FNAF. Less projects will be shared, less Scratchers, less chance of being noticed. The world of Scratch will die within 18 months.

'sacrifice'? More like murder.
We all spent hard work with our projects, and you delete them. Wow, I'm impressed by how annoying you are.

It is not. I like FNAF but I don't make replicas of it. I just draw pics of them.

It doesn't matter whether or not you work hard on projects. Spending a lot of time on a project does not necessarily mean it's appropriate for the website. The Scratch Team has decided to change its policy towards FNAF, so sorry if this displeases you. However, they actually have reasons to do that. Did you happen to read the first post?
geez, its 1:30 AM, why am i still awake, trying to reason with children?
